BMI The Sloane Hospital

125 Albemarle Rd, Beckenham BR3 5HS, UK – 020 8466 4000

Had back surgery here and all the staff could not have done more to help, receptionist at check in was great, she was fully aware in was nervous and dealt with me wonderfully, pre op the staff ensured I knew everything that was going to happen. Physio was round hours later as it's better to get moving sooner rather than later and slowly progressed into being able to get up and walk and also climb stairs only 2 days after surgery. The food is wonderful as are the waitresses, always checking you've got enough to drink or if you want another. Nurses just checking up on everything and constantly making sure you know to use the call button for anything no matter how small it may be. Everyone has such a friendly attitude and is chatty as long as you're also up for a conversation, including the cleaning staff too which personally I enjoy a chat and a laugh where possible. :)

Went to have blood drawn for a Medichecks blood test. I went early (8am) and there was plenty parking and I was the first patient. The nurse was super friendly and explained everything in detail. Overall a very pleasant experience (at least as far as hospital visits go.)

The Priory Hospital Hayes Grove

Prestons Rd, Bromley, Kent BR2 7AS, UK – 020 8462 7722

The care here is amazing, the nursing staff are very caring and supportive while the therapists are excellent at doing their job and the consultants are highly experienced practitioners - I would recommend Dr David Wood. Unlike other psychiatric hospitals the Priory has a relaxed approach to its therapy which may sometimes appear lax or slow but it's proven to work, I know patients who have left to go elsewhere and returned within a week once they have experienced other care providers. The Priory have a policy of treating you like an adult while fostering a safe and secure environment. It's not to be forgotten though that this is still a psychiatric hospital, not a hotel, and should be measured as such, consequently there will be some patients who will not have enjoyed their time here as you can imagine; the Priory caters for patients with varying degrees of mental illness and sometimes those with issues higher up the scale will find the care contrary to their wishes out of necessity.

An unbelievable experience . The staff . Doctors and lecturers are very professional . food was as good some restaurants I have been in . I made life long friends with other patients . This is not only a stopover stay but excellent aftercare is also provided . I can recommend this hospital and no one should be scared to admit to the help that they need as this place provides you with all the coping mechanisms needed .

The new NHS website below is very well worth a look. Hospitals are not only listed but evaluated. I certainly know which ones I would go to! At the very least you will know what questions to ask if you are sent to one which has not entered its data. Good luck!
